I’m a multi-disciplinary designer, lettering artist, and creative entrepreneur based in Manila. My path to the creative world wasn’t typical, but it’s been a journey of growth, learning, and finding my voice through art.

From Engineering to Art

I didn’t start out with the dream of becoming an artist. Growing up, art was just a hobby, something I did on the side. It wasn’t until I was studying engineering in college that I realized I could blend the problem-solving mindset of engineering with the creativity of art and design. That’s when everything changed for me.

Taking the leap from engineering into the creative world felt risky, but I knew it was where I belonged. And once I made that decision, I was determined to keep growing and exploring new ways to express myself through lettering and design.

From $6 Projects to a Lettering Career

Starting out wasn’t easy. I worked on small, low-paying projects just to build a portfolio—$6 for posters, $30 for logos. But those early challenges taught me a lot about persistence, and over time, my unique approach to design started to stand out. My engineering background gave me the ability to create designs that were not only beautiful but also functional and well thought-out.

Soon enough, I found my true passion in lettering. What began as simple doodles evolved into a specialized skill that has opened doors for me—working with international brands, launching my own products, and teaching workshops.
